Reported Speech Dictation: Statements and Questions

Listen for the reporting verb first. If it is in the past, check whether the original tense has moved back: will often becomes would, and a present continuous form often becomes past continuous. Then check the speaker’s point of view. Pronouns and time phrases may change too, so I, today and tomorrow depend on who reported the message and when. In a reported question, keep the question word or use if or whether, but put the subject before the verb. The exercise ignores punctuation; it still checks every word and its order.
