How do I answer "how often" questions correctly?

Correct answers give a pattern, not a single point in time: "How often do you go swimming?" — "Twice a week" or "Every Saturday morning." Common frequency expressions include: "once a day," "three times a month," "every other week," "rarely," and "hardly ever." A frequent mistake is answering with a specific date or time: "On Monday" answers "when" not "how often." If you do something only one time, say "once" or "only once" — this still describes frequency. Adverbs like "always," "usually," "sometimes," "rarely," and "never" also answer "how often" questions without giving exact numbers.

What is the difference between "how long" and "how far"?

There is no different form for objects — "how old" covers everything.
