Mixed Passive Voice Exercises (Easy)
A2-B1 Level
These easy mixed passive voice exercises combine the three simple tenses
in the passive: present simple (is/are + past participle), past simple
(was/were + past participle), and future simple (will be + past participle). This
level is ideal for learners who have practised each tense separately and are ready to
identify and use them together.
The main challenge is recognising which tense to use based on context and time markers. Look for clues: "every day" and "usually" point to present simple passive. "Yesterday" and "last week" point to past simple passive. "Tomorrow" and "next month" point to future simple passive. For example: "The office is cleaned every evening" (present simple), "The letter was posted yesterday" (past simple), "The results will be announced next week" (future simple). These exercises build the foundation for intermediate and advanced mixed practice. They are suitable for A2-B1 learners preparing for Cambridge A2 Key or B1 Preliminary exams and help develop the skill of choosing the correct passive tense in context.
