Phrasal Verbs Final Comprehensive Test
A2-C1 Level
This final test covers all the phrasal verbs from across the
entire module, from basic A2 everyday verbs to advanced C1 idiomatic expressions. You will
need to choose the correct particle to complete 30 sentences spanning daily routines, travel,
work, relationships, health, communication, and technology. The test includes both common
phrasal verbs that you should know automatically and trickier ones that require careful
thought about meaning and context. Treat this as a comprehensive review of everything
you have learnt.
To do well on this test, read each sentence completely before answering. Pay attention to the context clues in the sentence — the topic, the surrounding vocabulary, and the overall meaning will point you towards the correct particle. Remember that some particles can look very similar in certain contexts: "turn on" (activate) versus "turn up" (arrive or increase) versus "turn down" (refuse or decrease). If you score above 70 percent, you have a strong working knowledge of English phrasal verbs. If certain questions catch you out, go back to the specific particle or topic exercises and review those areas before retaking the test.
