Present Simple Final Test
A1-A2 Level
This final test checks your understanding of all present simple rules: positive
sentences, negative sentences, questions, third person -s spelling, frequency adverbs, and time
expressions. The questions start easier and become more difficult, moving from basic A1 rules to
more challenging A2 points. This is a good way to measure how much you have learnt and to find
areas that still need more practice.
To do well on this test, remember the key rules: add -s or -es for he/she/it in positive sentences, use "don't" or "doesn't" + base verb for negatives, and use "Do" or "Does" + base verb for questions. Pay attention to spelling changes (-es, -ies) and irregular forms (have → has). Check each sentence carefully before answering — read the whole sentence, find the subject, and decide if it is positive, negative, or a question. If you score well here, you are ready to move on to more advanced topics. If some questions are difficult, go back and practise those specific areas before trying the test again.
