Conditionals Dictation: Advice with If I Were You
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Listen for the imagined position and the advice that follows it. The familiar phrase if I were you uses were with I, and the advice often has would plus a base verb. Sometimes the advice comes first, or the speaker uses a different phrase about being in another person's position. Do not force every sentence into the same opening. Hear whether would is followed by not, and keep the full spoken form. You are recording the recommendation, not choosing a new one.
