English for Developers Dictation: Clarifying Tasks
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Listen for the information the speaker wants: what the product should do, who will do the work or when it is needed. Words such as requirement, priority and deadline name different parts of a task. A requirement is something needed; a priority tells you what matters most. Keep the question around the work word, including should, does or can. You do not need to know a programming language to follow these requests. Hear the whole sentence, then replay any short phrase that tells you exactly what needs explaining.
