Prepositional Phrases Dictation: Manner and Method Chunks
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Listen for how the action is done. A phrase beginning with by, on or in may tell you about the method, while another describes manner or whether something was accidental. There is no single preposition for every method: learn the combination you hear. The phrase often comes after the main action, so keep listening even when the basic message is clear. Capture any comparison or reason that follows it too. Knowing the idea does not make a synonymous phrase the right transcription.
