Prepositions Dictation: Verb and Preposition Chunks
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Stay with the verb until you hear its preposition. A familiar action can be easy to recognise while the quieter on, to or for slips past. Hear the pair together, then follow the object that completes it. Sometimes another preposition later in the sentence gives a person, topic or place, so there may be more than one to catch. I'd replay the verb phrase if its link sounded uncertain. Keep the spoken combination rather than replacing it with a different way of saying the same thing.
