Adjective + Preposition Dictation: Formal Adjective Partnerships
B2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Give the short preposition as much attention as the long adjective. You may recognise relevant or compatible straight away and still miss the quiet word that follows. Hear each partnership as a unit: the meaning alone will not reliably tell you which preposition was spoken. Pay particular attention when to introduces an ing form; here it can be a preposition rather than part of an infinitive. A sentence may also contain two linked phrases, naming an authority first and a responsibility afterwards. Keep both.
