Passive Voice Dictation: Actions in Progress
B2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Listen for being between the first form of be and the past participle. That word marks an action in progress. Is being and are being place it in the present; was being and were being look back to a past point. Keep all three parts even when they run together in speech. A later clause may show another event happening at the same time, or a result of the work. Use that meaning to follow the sentence without dropping being or changing the tense you hear.
