Grammar review
Adding -ed is the easy part; the spelling at the end is where mistakes happen. Look at the last letters. A consonant + y becomes -ied (hurried), but a vowel + y keeps the y (prayed). After -e, just add -d. Short verbs like shop double the last letter, but rain and listen don't.
