Used To / Would Dictation: Past Habits and States
A2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Hear used to with the action or state that follows. It tells you about a past routine or situation that is different now. The next verb stays in its simple form, so do not add another past ending. Some sentences describe repeated activities; others describe a home, a preference or how something was. Listen to the whole phrase even when to is quiet. Then keep the place or time detail as well, without adding a sentence about what happens now.
