Adjective + Preposition Error Correction

B1-B2 Level

This adjective + preposition error correction exercise trains learners to spot fixed adjective patterns in full sentences, especially combinations such as interested in, good at, responsible for, similar to, and afraid of.

Wrong: "Leo is interested on joining the chess club." Correct: "Leo is interested in joining the chess club."
Wrong: "The coordinator is responsible of checking the timetable." Correct: "The coordinator is responsible for checking the timetable."

Some sentences are already correct, so the task is not to replace every preposition. Read the adjective and the meaning together, then edit only when the combination is clearly wrong. That makes this route useful for B1-B2 writing, where small dependent preposition errors can make otherwise accurate sentences sound unnatural.

Quick Rule

  • 1.She is interested in photography.
  • 2.He is good at solving problems.
  • 3.They are responsible for the bookings.
  • 4.This answer is similar to mine.
  • 5.We were disappointed with the result.
