Verb + Preposition Error Correction
B1 Level
This verb + preposition error correction exercise focuses on common
dependent-preposition mistakes after verbs such as depend on,
listen to, wait for, apply to, and
apologise for.
Wrong: "The start time depends of the teacher's answer." Correct: "The start time depends on the teacher's answer."
Wrong: "Omar listened at the guide and paid on the museum tickets." Correct: "Omar listened to the guide and paid for the museum tickets."
Some items are correct and some contain two small preposition mistakes, so learners need to check the verb phrase rather than change words mechanically. The exercise is useful for everyday writing because dependent-preposition errors often survive after the main verb tense, word order, and vocabulary are already accurate.
