Prepositions of Time and Place Error Correction
A2-B1 Level
This prepositions of time and place error correction exercise targets the
mistakes learners make most often when proofreading full sentences:
choosing in, on, or at for time,
matching place prepositions to points, surfaces, and enclosed spaces, and
separating duration, deadline, and destination meanings.
Wrong: "The workshop starts in 9 o'clock on the community centre." Correct: "The workshop starts at 9 o'clock at the community centre."
Wrong: "I have a dentist appointment in Friday morning." Correct: "I have a dentist appointment on Friday morning."
Because this route asks learners to click and repair the wrong chunk inside a full sentence, it trains a different skill from a standard gap-fill. Some sentences are already correct, and some need two small repairs, so learners have to decide whether the phrase describes a month, a day, an exact time, a surface, a point, a destination, a duration, or a deadline before editing.
