Quantifiers Dictation: A Few and A Little
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Give the little a before few or little your attention. A few and a little say there is a small quantity. Without a, few and little often suggest that the amount is disappointingly small or not enough. The surrounding sentence helps you hear that judgement. Few goes with plural countable items; little goes with an uncountable amount. Keep the article exactly as heard, rather than adding it as a correction. That one quiet word can change the speaker's attitude towards the quantity.
