Reflexive Pronouns Dictation: Emphasis on the Doer
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Notice who the reflexive word highlights. Here it emphasises that someone personally performs the action, rather than naming a separate person receiving it. It may follow the subject closely or come later. Without it, the sentence can still be grammatical, but the emphasis would be lost. That makes it worth listening for even when the main message already seems complete. Keep the word where it is spoken, along with any time or reason. Do not add by: doing something personally does not necessarily mean doing it without help.
