Reported Speech Dictation: Reported Requests and Commands
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Find the person receiving the request between the reporting verb and to. That person is the one expected to do the action. Asked, told, reminded and warned give different kinds of messages, so retain the verb you hear. A negative request has not before to; missing it reverses the instruction. Listen through to the place or time as well. You do not need to turn the sentence back into a direct command. Keep the report's complete wording, including both the recipient and the action.
