Reported Speech Dictation: Reported Time and Place

Hold the complete time or place reference together. The following day and the previous evening locate an event relative to another point, rather than to the moment when you are doing the exercise. There points to a place understood in the report. Listen for the article and any words such as earlier, that or next. Do not replace them with tomorrow, yesterday or here. No original quotation is needed: follow the reported event and keep the reference that the recording actually uses.
