Subject Verb Agreement Dictation: Joined Subjects
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Hear the whole subject before the verb. Two distinct people or things joined by and normally take plural agreement, and both explicitly names a pair. Either or neither followed by a singular noun focuses on one of two alternatives and takes a singular verb here. These phrases differ from more complex either-or subjects, so do not carry that shortcut into every construction. Listen for the actual ending and keep the complete pair or alternative. Your answer should preserve the spoken sentence, including all its subject words.
