Subject Verb Agreement Dictation: Subjects with Extra Phrases
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Find the main subject before following its extra description. A noun in a phrase with of, in, near or with may be close to the verb without controlling its agreement. A singular head noun can therefore have a plural noun after it and still take a singular verb. I'd briefly set the added phrase aside to understand the link, then listen again with every word included. Do not omit that description in your answer. Keep the main subject, its details and the verb exactly as spoken.
