Past Simple Dictation: Everyday Past Questions
A2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Listen from the start of the question. You may hear did first, or a word such as where or why before it. Then comes the person or thing and the simple action word. Did gives the past meaning, so the action does not need a past ending. Keep the whole question in order, including the time or place detail. With who, notice the spoken did too: here the question asks about the person receiving the action. You are writing it, not answering it.
