Past Simple Dictation: Short Event Sequences
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Follow the events and the small words joining them. Then can move the story forward, so can give a result, and but can show a contrast. With before or after, the event mentioned later in the sentence is not always the event that happened later. Hear both parts before typing. The verbs include regular endings and irregular past forms, so keep each actual form. Repeating the subject may also matter when the person changes between actions; do not shorten the story yourself.
