Past Simple Dictation: Finished Action Negatives
A2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Catch did not before the action word. Did already gives the past meaning, so the next verb stays in its simple form. You may know a different past form of that verb, but you do not need it after did not. Keep the negative clear: leaving out not changes the sentence. Then listen to the time or place at the end. A phrase with until can tell you when something finally happened, so do not stop listening after the main verb.
