-ed vs -ing Adjectives Dictation: Causes and Reactions Together
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Follow the cause first, then the reaction. The two adjective forms sound similar, but their endings tell you different things. The ing form describes what produces a feeling; the ed form describes someone affected by it. Hear the subjects of both clauses so you can follow that link. Words such as so and and join the ideas, while afterwards can make the sequence clearer. Keep the two adjective forms exactly as spoken, even if one repeated stem makes the sentence feel long.
