Past Perfect Dictation: Negatives and Questions
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Hear where had sits in the sentence. In a question it comes before the person, sometimes after a question word such as why or where. In a negative it stays before not and the past participle. The sentence asks about, or denies, something before a later past point. Listen for that later detail so the timing makes sense. Keep any already too. There is no need to answer the question or turn it into a statement: type the complete spoken wording in its original order.
