Past Perfect Dictation: Already, Just and Never
B2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Catch the word between had and the past participle. Already places an action before the later past point; just puts it shortly before that point. Never says there was no such experience up to then. Those words add different information, so do not leave them out once you hear had. Keep the later event or time phrase as well. It gives you the point the speaker is looking back from. Replay that middle word if needed, and retain the speaker's wording rather than supplying a similar time expression.
