Wish & If Only Dictation: Present Wishes
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Listen for the past form after wish, but do not assume the wish concerns yesterday. Here it describes a present situation the person would like to be different. Had can describe a wanted possession or feature, rather than introduce a past perfect phrase. Keep any negative in the wished-for situation too. The contrast with reality helps you understand the sentence, but you do not need to state that reality in your answer. Write the actual wish, with the verb form and all the details you hear.
