Internal Word Changes Exercises
B2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
The sentence still gives the main clue. Articles such as a, an, and the often point to a noun. A verb after a subject may need a past form, and a phrase after an adjective may need an abstract noun. Some items in this set are suffix-only exceptions, so do not assume every answer changes inside. Instead, ask what word type is missing, then recall the natural member of that word family. This B2 practice is especially useful for irregular noun forms and advanced spelling awareness. Review each completed noun against the sentence meaning.
Quick Rule

- 1.STRONG -> strength: physical strength
- 2.LONG -> length: the length of the road
- 3.WIDE -> width: the width of the table
- 4.ADVISE -> advice: useful advice
