Other Prefixes Exercises
B2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Some prefixed words are written with a hyphen, and some are written as one word. You may see accepted variants such as re-read and reread, or co-operate and cooperate. Do not treat this page as negative-prefix practice; the focus is on ideas such as repetition, timing, excess, shortage, and working together. These B2 questions help you connect prefix meaning with sentence context, tense, and natural spelling. After choosing the prefix, check whether the word is normally written closed, open, or with a hyphen. Also check whether the verb needs a past ending or base form after the prefix has been added. This keeps prefix meaning tied to grammar.
