Person Nouns Exercises
B1-B2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
The sentence usually tells you that a person is needed. Look for clues such as a job, a role in an activity, or a person receiving an action. Some endings are very common, but they are not interchangeable. We say artist, not arter, and assistant, not assister in most contexts. These B1-B2 questions help you recognise natural person nouns and avoid inventing forms that follow a pattern but do not sound like real English. The job description after the gap often confirms which person noun is needed. That context matters more than the most common suffix.
