Hear the two words as one name for a place or thing. In this set, the familiar names are written with a space. The first word helps tell you what kind of thing the second word names. You may hear stronger stress on the first part, but a space does not have its own sound. Use the rest of the sentence to recognise the name. Keep both words when you type, along with small words such as the, our or your.
