Confusing Verbs Dictation: Make and Do
A2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Listen to the words that go with make or do. We often use make for creating something and do for a task, but many everyday phrases must be learnt together. The noun after the verb is a useful clue. You may also hear make before a person and a feeling: it describes causing that feeling. Keep the verb form you hear, whether it is made, did or an -ing form. Do not change it just because another phrase with make or do sounds familiar.
