Containers & Partitives Dictation: Pieces Slices and Portions
A2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Find the word that tells you how much food there is. Slice describes a thin piece, while portion is an amount served to someone. Piece is a more general word. Hear that word together with of and the food name. More than one slice or portion needs an s on that word. The food word may stay the same, but some food names are already plural. Listen to the complete phrase rather than adding or removing an s by guesswork.
