Past Continuous Dictation: Negatives and Questions
A2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Hear where was or were comes in the sentence. In a question, it comes before the person or thing. In a negative, not follows it before the ing word. Those small changes matter, even when you understand the action straight away. Some questions begin with what or why, so listen from the very start. Keep the ing ending in every form. You are writing the question or negative you hear; do not answer it or change it into a positive statement.
