Past Continuous Dictation: Scenes in Progress
A2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Listen for was or were just before the action word. Together with its ing ending, they tell you what was happening in a past scene. Try picturing the people and places while the sentence plays. One person or thing often has was; you, we and they have were. Keep the form you hear, including the ending on the action. A time or place phrase may finish the sentence. It helps you see the scene and needs to stay in your answer too.
