Causative (Have/Get Done) Dictation: Getting Repairs Done
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Catch the thing receiving the repair after get, got or getting. The repair word comes after it as a past participle. This tells you that the person arranges the work, rather than necessarily doing it themselves. A phrase with is getting may refer to an arrangement for tomorrow, so listen to the time expression as well. Keep the complete object, even when it has several words. Do not replace get with have because the meaning is similar: this is dictation, and the recording gives you the wording.
