Causative (Have/Get Done) Dictation: Unwanted Events
B2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Check the meaning of the event, rather than assuming that have something done always means a service someone requested. The same pattern can describe an unwanted experience. Theft, damage or a mistaken cancellation happens to the person; they have not chosen it. Words such as without warning and by mistake help make that clear. Listen for the affected possession or arrangement between had and the past participle. Preserve that word order when you type, along with the reason or detail that explains what went wrong.
