Gerunds & Infinitives Dictation: Verbs Followed by Ing
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Hear the first verb together with the activity that follows it. Enjoy, avoid, finish and several other verbs in this set are followed by an -ing form. Listen through the ending before moving to the activity's object or place. That first verb may be past or present, but the following activity still uses -ing in these phrases. Keep any negative or modal before the first verb as well. Write the full spoken combination rather than changing it to a to-infinitive that feels more familiar.
