Word Formation Dictation: Common Adjective Suffixes
B1 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Hear the adjective all the way to its ending. Ful, less, able and other endings can help you recognise a word's family, but the full word gives the actual quality being described. Listen to the noun or person it describes as well. Some spellings change from the base word, so sounding out the ending is only part of the job. You are not choosing or constructing a new adjective. Keep the form the speaker uses, along with the action and details around it.
