Inversion Dictation: Not Until Fronting
B2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Hear what comes after not until before moving on to the main action. It names the point before which that action did not happen. The main clause then places an auxiliary before its subject. Sometimes that is did with a base verb; sometimes it is was or were in a passive or state description. Keep the two parts distinct, especially when the opening has its own subject and verb. You do not need to rearrange them into ordinary word order to show you understood the sentence.
