These reductions are powerful but need careful subject control. The participle phrase must connect logically with the subject of the main clause, and the meaning must still be clear without the original conjunction. Some clauses show cause, some show time, and some show condition, so choose the participle form according to meaning, not by memorising one shape. This route also includes perfect participles such as Never having travelled, where the earlier experience, or lack of it, explains the later reaction.
